Hi All,
Looks like there are interpretation issues for few IV members (I'm not against to any member or isolating any one).
However, I have noticed interpretation issues in understanding a thread / posting for few members (based on their reaction).
The way RED dots are given really pinches to the posting owner.
My GC has been approved and I have not married yet. So I have posted my issue on thread and seeking helping from fellow IV members. I have received nice responses. I also have noticed the following comments on my control panel.
Looks like, some members have serious interpretation issues. They all gave me RED DOTS.
I really don't understand, why some one behaves like this when some one else has a real problem

You can't fix everything. Be ready for both.
Here are some ways to handle this:
1. Take it easy (Long term solution)
2. Don't click on the "UserCP" link (Short term)
3. Take a break from IV for few weeks (Short term)
4. Open few threads and give reds left and right for 5 people (Immediate relief)

How to find out if our FBI finger print and IBIS checks are cleared?
I spoke to NSC IO yesterday and found out that my case is still waiting for security clearence. Does that mean they are waiting for my FP and IBIS clearance?
My case is EB2/Feb India and I-485 RD is 06/15/2007.

We have a good article on WSJ. Anti doesn't want our people to go there and post comment on it so they are creating this kind of thread here so people spend their time here fighting and they continue posting -ve comments there.

I was also asked to appear for FP in my attorney's location. Instead, I went to the nearest ASC with my spouse whose FP was in the correct location ahead of my date. I successfully got my FP done. There is a thread "FP in wrong city" where other people had similar issues.
From my experience, talking to lawyer, USCIS doesn't care as long as you get it done before the due date. Try the local ASC... its always the guard in front who may create an issue. Once you are in, fill in some forms, the ASC doesn't care where you were scheduled.
Imp: Try the local ASC before your scheduled date so that you have time for plan B.

The fact is republicans don’t like non whites to immigrate to US and the democrats are color blind to most extent but they are class conscious, they like illegals and poor people to immigrate to US because they can control them whereas they cannot control and herd the EB immigrants.
"reforming" the US immigration system by introducing a points based system where even existing applicants like the EB folks who have been in US for the last 10+ years have to re apply in points based nonsense system.
We will all have to fight for our cause but don’t have unrealistic expectations from CIR. Our best bet is a non cir piece meal bill visa recapture bill that addresses EB issues seperate from CIR, it is difficult to get such a bill passed but the chances for such a bill are better then Obama-durbin cir

My biggest fear is "choking up of the already inefficient system"...currently we at least can apply for something and expect it to be processed in few months (longer in some cases), get our EADs and APs renewed, call customer service with questions (although don't get needed info in most cases), get infopass....when they try to deal with "blue cards" and Z visas of 12 million plus illegals, none of this will be available.
And I do not want to start GC process from "scratch" in point bases system when I have spent so much time, money and energy in the current process...

The only leeway USCIS has w.r.t EADs are the duration of the EADs and not the timing of the issue of the EAD. The fact that the EAD can be given only after the I485 is filed is governed by the INA.
Further the grant of EADs in all the eligible categories is more or less the same. Even if the timing of the grant of the EAD were in USCIS hands ,it is hard to request an alternative interpretation of the regulation in some cases (eg after I-140) while retaining the same interpretation for other categories (eg EAD after completion of Education). This just opens up a lot of loopholes.
ON top of all this we have to take into consideration the huge inherent inertia of the USCIS to change. As already pointed out the only recourse available would be to change the law of the land, on which path we are already traversing.

It is good to get reliable first hand information from travelers instead of relying upon reports from consulates, airline websites etc which all contradict one another. Just out of curiosity, did anybody in India or Frankfurt ask to see the Advance Parole papers before allowing you to board the flight?

FearOnlyGod it is, do not give into bad employers. I looked up google for complain DOL against employer harassment. If you have email or other proof of his recent harassment it can be added to the same complaint to DOL check more resources you should be getting your pay.

I have one question on this for some reason if EB-2 Perm is not approved then can we still reatain the EB-3 priority date?? and the EB-3 status.??? I have a masters and 5 years of experience and same situation almost like yours.

Yes, I agree.. those roaches need to be crushed down with good governance..Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unique_Identification_Authority_of_India)) project is the first step of that process to have transparency to credit system, risk assessment, tax accountability, govt spending, crime control and so many others.. ... I think it will be a reality in next few years. similar development perspective is up with china now..they increased domestic consumption rather focusing only on exports..

My spouse is landing here on Aug 15. That leaves only one day to get medicals done. Any suggestions on how to handle this ? Can she skip skin test and take X-rays directly ?
For skin PPD test , you have to go back to Doctor after 24-72 hours to show the reaction.If nothing comes up its good , but incase you are positive then you will have to go for XRay , so obviously you need to plan for more than 1 day.

after GC i need to mint money for my family & enjoy life too. I dont know about others tho. I will settle down in DC Belt area where one can keep gettin consultancy jobs one after the other and make a million. Most of them are Fed jobs for which one needs to have a clearance and for that one needs to have GC.
we can make a lot of $$$ per hour on such job. Assignments vary from 6 months to 18 months. What more do u want.
why work two jobs and burn our ass off...

I'll belive it when i actually SEE it happen. Rediff and TOI report all sorts of stuff that is sometimes far from the truth. Remember when the bill was introduced in senate and was being debated, they published that the H1B increase bill has been passed! Let us get official word that this has happened and we can be happy after that.

you can go look at the o-net database online. you can specify keywords of your new job and it will present you different o-net codes. then look at the detailed description of each presented result and draw conclusions as to which one your job will fall under.
