Hello everyone,
1)Now a days AP renewal is taking 6 months
2) if you already have an Approved AP you can travel out of country with no issues.
3)if you are newly application AP for first time then you should wait until it is approved to go out of country
4) Even if you don�t have H1B stamping on the passport you can travel to you home country and come back on approved AP.
4.1) you can support your spouse also even after using AP (i.e H4 support)

do you recommend filing PP for any Sch Cases filed after Octobe r2005 that haven't got approval yet? Immigration portal is full of examples of the really fast turn around of I-14o approvals and in one case of a concurrently filed I-140/ I-485

1. There will be one less line in the Visa bulletin. ;) Before that happens of course, the line will change to 'U' for unavailable, to indicate that the entire 50K quota been used up.
2. any remaining schedule A's will be re-categorized under their original EB and country of origin and -- assuming those categories have cut-off dates before their PD -- they will be treated like all other i-485s that have been submitted and that cannot be approved.:(
3. If in future, another batch of Sched A numbers becomes available, USCIS will, as they did in May 2005, scan all pending I-485s for any that are Sched A eligible, pull those up for final processing, as well as begin to accept new Sched A I-485s.

I hope it does some good to you and makes your PD current/closer so that you dont eat/sleep/drink VB. C mon man... There are other things you can do. Dont get offended by what I am saying. If your PD is closer, I can understand your excitement. But a lot of people are just killing time in forums by working their ass off on predictions and call it comic relief. I hope IV core members stop encouraging this kind of behavior.

You are in a queue instead of outside the gate , hoping to get in to the queue.
But I think they must (and probably will) do some thing do clear EADs sooner then a year.

I am filling out the form G-639 to obtain a copy of the I-140 approval notice. I am little confused about section 6 and 8.
In section 1, I indicated that I want the information under the FOIA. It is indicated in section 1 that I have to complete all sections except section 6 which is the "Verification of subject's Identity". So if I don't have to complete the section 6 then I also shouldn't have to do any notary in section 8, right?
It appears that section 8 is related to section 6 and I should be able to skip both. Any ideas guys. Thanks.

Your case is eligible the chances are high that you'll get it, if dates remain current. And as folks have mentioned, 180 days rule applies. Your infopass will tell you clearly what's happening to your NC but that is immaterial.
I realized your original question was about FP and its expiry and not about NC. So I withdrew my original post to remind you of the 180 day rule which says where the application is otherwise approvable and the FBI name check request has been pending for more than 180 days, the adjudicator shall approve the I-485 and proceed with card issuance.
Yeah, the official rule was clearly communicated (to us) about the 180 days since I-485 filing (if it was pending for 180 days...).
But that rule wasn't followed at the end of FY2008 (Aug/Sept 2008).
In fact, some customer service reps even mentioned something to the effect of this law would be enforced only from Feb.2009 or something to that effect.
That is part of the concern with new fingerprinting once the 15-months expire and you have go through the FP/NC process all over again.

Guys ... first of all thanks for starting this thread. Worth every bit of space on server.
I am based in Michigan and would like to get in touch with someone locally to guide me in setting up a LLC. Well saying that, I don't mind venturing with like minded people outside MI too. I have few ideas and would like to work on those, these are in products and industry I am working with (Mechanical/ Industrial). However, I think same approach can be used to generate IP in other fields too. So i am open to collaborate with like minded people to benefit from each other. i emphasize on like minded people, because their would be failures too and so need equal buy in.
Neverhteless, what I am saying is if their is an opportunity to collaborate to succeed collectively? Write me back what you think and good Luck.

Absolutely true, It is torturing the kids for the aspirations of the parents to be seen in the national TV and for award.
It is not the poor kids are not getting the award, it is the parent, especially it is the trend with indians.
why ? ask your kids to do same and see what you feel on that night. can your kids do same ? forget about torturing or anything for a moment. Didn't you see Nupur Lala a past winner where she is now ? if she was torture for that competition she would n't be in MIT. its a competition of brain power to me.
