No need to worry.
People write letters all the time to the president and first lady, FBI, USCIS, etc etc when they are stuck in namechecks.
The thing is why should be force ourselves to write letters when we are in deep sh** like namechecks ourselves.
Why can't we do it when we can do it as a large group of people and not being selfish for once. I think this is our chance to stop being a lone voice when nobody hears us. In this campaign we can show how important our issue is and how desperately we want it to be fixed.

BTW I am going to post a handwritten letter. I have heard it works better.

Very good idea. Hand written letter - way to go. Everyone can do this.

Maybe we can write with blood(just kidding)

They have not specified anything like my prior company is fake in any of the communication email.They are asking me come back because they find something wrong about my prior company after four year and i am not able to provide more evidence.During four year i worked in 10 to 15 project for diff client and for each project first they did BG and put me in project.Now they are asking me that provide some more evidence or come back to offshore.
I know if i come back to india they will give me layoff from company.In this situation how do i fight with my company.

Why should I reveal my identity?? Even the ICE Investigator with whom I am working has agreed for anonymity, In case you think that I am a american guy with anti-immigrant agenda I challenge you to set up a tele-conference where I can login without revealing my identity and I can prove my intentions, nationality or what ever you want ... (except for my personal details and specific violation details). I am here to fight a violation, please don't blame if you/your organisation would be impacted by this investigation.

Regarding the process for complaining please go to the below link "http://www.ice.gov/about/investigations/contact.htm" and see the main office for your state and call the investigations office and they would provide you the contact no. for your local officer (most of the cities would have local officers, their office would be along with other customs and immigration operations) and you can contact him directly and he would provide you the details for lodging a formal complaint. Please let me know if you need any further information regarding the same.

First and foremost thing we have to understand is that these Memos (Yates and Aytes Memos on AC21) are not legally binding on either USCIS, or the IO issuing denials. They are mere "internal" USCIS guidelines that have no legal standing. There is no option available to us right now, other than requesting (pleading) with USCIS that they follow these guidelines as it's hurting the applicants and their families. And that's what we are doing now, by sending these letters to USCIS top honchos.

Finger print will only bring up those names who have a "rap sheet". That is people who were arrested, booked and then charged. A name check will bring out those who are under an investigation directly (main file) or associated with those being investigated. Thus a name check is essential from the national security point of view.

USCIS is supposed to respond to USCIS OMBUDSMAN report on Sep 11. USCIS has not mentioned about the value it is deriving out of the NAMECHECK process!
I do not know why USCIS is wasting money and resources in the questionable "NAME CHECK" process while they already have the faster "FINGER PRINT" process!!

My colleagues and friends are sending e-mails to Judiciary committee members. I am preparing draft for this mail. I am going to divide this mail into sections. One section describing what H.R. 5882 is (recapture, justice against discriminatory treatment based on country of birth, USCIS efficiency) and another sections would describe what it is not (not amnesty, not an increase in numbers). I want a link to the testimony given by USCIS director in congress confirming the wastage of green cards. Can someone quickly direct me to that link?

I just got about 50 posters double the size of our regular 8x11 that have the Americal flag background. I will be putting some simple messages to support 5882 to consider immiedate recapture of visas. Also clearly asking to support EB2 AND EB3 INdia. And that we are unable to buy houses cos of this limbo.
In your messages, please suggest atleast one reason how we help the country, apart from our regular x,y,z qualifications. I will be saying It helps fixing housing crisis.

Whats the fee of INR 155 for? Nothing of that sort was mentioned to me by the consular officer. He just asked to submit the passport. But if you do have to submit, should I get it in form of a receipt from HDFC as I did for the visa appointment or just cash?
Yes, you can only deposit your passport at the western VFS locations only if you are interviewing at Mumbai. In my case I gave my passport to a responsible friend of mine in Mumbai who in turn was able to deposit the PP with INR 155 as the fee to VFS.

You can not give the passport directly to the consulate, they will not even accept it as that makes them liable for the passports.

I hate to play "who winks first" game with teleblend. They told that they would come up with similar india plan but not providing any details.

May be now I should switch to vonage or Lingo. One factor in favor of vonage is: I get two months free with referral and one year contract rather than 2 years with Lingo.

As per one my close friend, lingo CS is not very good. Vonage is still better than Lingo.

However here is my question.

The acutal cost of Vonage with unlimited india calling is $31 - $32 per month due to taxes, misc charges etc.

WHAT would be ACTUAL COST OF LINGO per month? any approximation?

Any one who uses lingo? Please advice... How much money do Lingo charges over & above regular monthly charges?

I used to be a vonage user and Vonage was horrible as they were trying as much hard to charge the MAX to the customer in extra MISC charges.

So far they havent provided any link from LINGO.COM home page, even the link what I posted got it from my friend........we didnt know at this moment how much taxes gonna be...

It's 2 years agreement and it's killing part....

I have no idea about customer service or call quality....

If any body has exp...please share for other customers who are willing to sign will be healpfull...

Filed for EAD for my husband along with the I 485's and have had all receipts, also had fingerprints done already, exactly one month after the receipt date. Sent both entire packets of forms with checks to Nebraska. We did not file advanced parole since I still have a valid H1B and plan to stay in my current job until I get my card. Husband will work on EAD and will not travel until gets his card, no family left in England.
